Counselor and Supervisor

About Me

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to understanding people.  Understanding their struggles, hopes, and the remarkable resilience we all possess, even in the toughest moments. That pull led me to the counseling field over 20 years ago, and I haven’t looked back since.

Education and Experience

After earning my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master’s in Counseling Education from Sam Houston State University, I dedicated myself to helping others find pathways to healing and growth. I’m also the author of Embrace You: The Art and Science of Self-Love, where I explore what it means to heal from within.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S).  That means I not only have the privilege of working directly with individuals and couples, but I also mentor and guide new counselors as they enter this meaningful profession. Whether I’m sitting with a client in the midst of anxiety or guiding a clinician through their first experiences in the field, I lead with respect, authenticity, and an unwavering belief in every person’s capacity for change.

Specialities

I specialize in trauma and couples counseling.  Additionally, I also focus on navigating the profound challenges that arise from infidelity. I understand how deeply these experiences can impact individuals and relationships, often shaking the very foundation of trust and connection. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and compassionate space for clients to explore their pain, rebuild understanding, and begin the often difficult but rewarding process of healing. It’s not just about repairing what’s broken.  It’s about fostering growth, resilience, and the possibility of a renewed sense of connection.

Why Me?

What sets my practice apart is my commitment to truly seeing each person as an individual. Healing is never a one-size-fits-all process. Instead of a cookie-cutter approach, every person I work with receives a tailor-made plan designed for their unique needs, preferences, and goals. Over the years, I have supported hundreds of individuals, couples, and families as they move through trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, and major life transitions.

My work is grounded in proven, research-based methods blended with a heartfelt, personal approach. Healing is not just about managing symptoms; it’s about transformation and self-discovery. I believe deeply that, within each of us, there is the capacity for profound healing and growth. Sometimes, we just need the right guidance, support, and encouragement to tap into that inner strength.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing, or if you are a fellow professional seeking supervision grounded in compassion and expertise, I’m here to walk alongside you. Your story matters, and your growth is possible. Begin Your Healing Journey.
