About Me
Are you navigating a new relationship, job, or life stage and finding it hard to move forward? Whether it’s anxiety, depression, ADHD, or trauma, life’s challenges can feel overwhelming. I’m James Rominger, a student counselor dedicated to helping adults, teens, couples, and children work through difficult transitions and find their path forward.
Education and Experience
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. I am earning my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston.
Specialities
With a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and a genuine passion for helping others, I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults who are experiencing change—graduating, starting new careers, building relationships, or simply trying to better understand themselves.
Why Me?
I believe that while our past influences us, the present holds the greatest potential for healing and growth. My work focuses on helping clients process trauma, challenge negative self-talk, and develop self-compassion. Through this process, we reconnect with our authentic self that exists beneath pain, fear, and doubt.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that every person has a true self—mindful, compassionate, and capable of change. My role is to support clients in building awareness of their thoughts and emotions and to create a safe space for healing and growth.
Above all, I’m someone who truly cares. I strive to offer a warm, supportive environment where you can speak freely, feel understood, and begin creating meaningful, lasting change. Together, we can work toward a future where you can be fully yourself.
