Kelsee Melton LPC, earned her Master of Science degree in Counselor Education from University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies from California State University of Bakersfield. While completing her graduate studies, Kelsee’s internship experience involved counseling children and adolescents in the Lafayette Parish School System- Woodvale Elementary and Milton Elementary and Middle School.

She has experience working with at-risk adolescents and children struggling with behavioral concerns, parental divorce, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and grief. Kelsee also has experience promoting social and emotional well-being in Pre-School aged children, as well as counseling adults and families. In addition to her current training, Kelsee is also interested in using an integrative approach that builds upon children’s strengths and collaborating with each child and their families to find solutions to life’s challenges.

Kelsee views each child and their families as equal partners in the therapeutic process, allowing them to create goals and achieve success through therapy.  Having worked in schools, Kelsee knows the importance of working from a systemic approach to gain insight and understanding of the roles of each individual in the child’s life to create a healthy functionality as a whole.

Professional Qualifications

Kelsee Melton received her LPC license from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors in January 2020. Kelsee completed her graduate internship hours for Elementary and Middle schools in Lafayette, Louisiana where she provided counseling for individuals, groups, families, and school personnel from 2015-2017.
